PAP Group’s range includes beam detectors and their accessories. We help you assess whether the solution is suitable and how it connects to the site’s fire alarm system.
How does a beam detector differ from a point detector?
A point detector senses smoke at its own location. An optical beam detector, on the other hand, monitors the path of a light beam between a transmitter and a receiver, or by means of a reflector.
When smoke attenuates the beam sufficiently, the detector raises an alarm according to its settings. The right implementation depends on the structure of the space and on how the monitoring line can be positioned.
Taking spaces and conditions into account
Beam detection is used, for example, in open spaces such as large halls and warehouses. The design takes into account a clear line of sight for the beam, mounting points, the conditions and the features of the chosen device.
Not all large spaces are alike. That is why the solution is compared against the needs of the site rather than chosen on floor area alone.
Detectors, accessories and help with your choice
In this product group you will find beam detectors and compatible accessories. Our sales team helps you choose a compatible set of equipment and prepares a quote.
Tell us the dimensions of the space, its use and your existing system. Floor plans and information on the structure of the space make it easier to assess a suitable solution.
