Panasonic 3414 Fireray Hub beam detector

Product description

Panasonic 3414 is the Fireray Hub Reflective, a modular reflective optical beam detection system for demanding sites such as large public spaces, glass atriums in hotels and shopping centres, warehouses and aircraft hangars. The detectors are aligned, tested and maintained from a controller mounted at ground level, so the space does not need to be closed and no lifting equipment is required.

Up to three reflective detectors can be connected to one controller. The detectors align themselves using motorised, laser-assisted alignment started from the controller. Building Movement Tracking compensates for building movement, Light Cancellation technology reduces false alarms caused by sunlight and artificial light, and contamination compensation takes account of dirt on the optical surfaces. A fire test can be carried out remotely from the controller, and time-stamped events are stored in its event log (128 per detector, 600 per controller).

Installation

The range is 8–50 m, and up to 120 m with the 3404 long range kit. The detectors are connected to the controller either individually (parallel mode) or on the same cable (network mode), in which case the cable length to the furthest detector must not exceed 100 m. Each detector has its own fire and fault relay. Additional detectors are available under product code 3415, and accessories include the adjustable bracket 1170-000, an anti-condensation heater and the commissioning and maintenance kit 1150-000.
