Product description
Panasonic 4460 is an addressable 230 V AC relay unit that is connected to the COM loop. The unit has one relay output (NO or NC contact), programmable with EBLWin, which can be used for various fire alarm system controls, for example closing fire doors in the event of a fire. The relay contact withstands an 8 A resistive load at 230 V AC or 30 V DC. The unit takes its operating voltage from the loop and is intended for surface mounting indoors.
The unit has a built-in short-circuit isolator that does not require its own COM loop address. The housing is an IP66/67-rated polycarbonate Fibox enclosure (RAL 7035). The red LED can be lit with the Toggle LED function in EBLWin to locate the device.
Installation and safety
- Wall mounting with four wood screws (min. 38 mm, Ø 4.0 mm), cable entries with M16 membranes
- Address 001–253: automatic addressing (sets Advanced mode) or manually with the 4414 tool
- Compatible with EBL512 G3 (V ≥ 3.3)
- An all-pole disconnecting device, max. 10 A, is installed in the mains supply near the unit
- Only a qualified person may open the cover and make the connections; national regulations must be observed
- Conductor size on the loop Ø 0.5–1.7 mm (0.2–2.5 mm²), on the relay connection max. 4.0 mm² with reinforced insulation
