Product description
NCU 900 is the network unit (FidesPort) of Securiton’s FidesNet system. It networks aspirating smoke detectors via RS-485 and Ethernet and connects them to external systems. Measurement data from the detectors can be forwarded, for example, to management systems in data centres. According to the catalogue, the connection to higher-level systems uses the Modbus or SNMP protocol.
The network can have up to 100 detectors. The RS-485 network on the detector side is up to 1,000 m long, and the Ethernet distance between participants up to 100 m. The NCU 900 is mounted in a 19-inch rack and powered with 18–30 V DC or PoE.
