Product description
ASD 531 is an aspirating smoke detector in Securiton’s SecuriSmoke range for small monitoring areas. The detector’s fan draws air through the sampling holes of the sampling pipe and feeds it to the smoke sensor. Airflow monitoring detects pipe blockages and breakages. The pipe can be I-, U-, T-, H- or E-shaped.
The detector comes with a pre-installed SSD 31 smoke sensor with an alarm sensitivity of 0.02–10 %/m. Its three pre-signals are fixed at 30, 50 and 70% of the alarm threshold. Commissioning and settings are done with the rotary switches on the device (BasiConfig) without software. The pipe network can be designed with the ASD PipeFlow software.
The detector is connected to the fire alarm control panel via volt-free changeover contacts. The two expansion slots can take, for example, an RIM 36 relay module, which makes all three pre-signals and the sensor and pipe states available.
