Product description
RCU 700 is the remote control unit of Securiton’s FidesNet system. It is used for central monitoring of the status and measured values of aspirating smoke detectors connected to the NCU 900 network unit and for operating the detectors. According to the manufacturer, typical applications are areas that are difficult for users to access, such as airport security zones, laboratories and IT environments, as well as monitoring several detectors from a control room.
FidesNet can have up to 100 detectors and 50 RCU 700 units. The detectors are connected to the RS-485 network with SIM 35 modules, and the RCU 700 connects to the NCU 900 via Ethernet. The unit is powered from its terminals (18–30 V DC) or from a PoE switch. It is mounted in a 19-inch rack with an RMF 19-1 or RMF 19-2 frame or in an RWH wall housing.
