Product description
Panasonic 4487RE is a red addressable sounder with a built-in short-circuit isolator. The sounder is connected directly to the COM loop and mounted on a wall. It is approved to EN 54-3 and EN 54-17 and is intended for dry indoor areas.
Tones and priorities
The sounder has seven selectable tone types, including the DIN 33404, NEN 2575 and NFS 32-001 tones. Each of the three priority levels (high, medium, low) is programmed with EBLWin with its own control condition and tone type. This means the sounder can be used, for example, for pre-warning, fire alarm and heavy smoke alarm with different tones. When a higher-priority condition is met, the tone changes. The maximum sound level is 93 dB(A), and the highest minimum sound pressure level is approximately 90–94 dB(A) at a distance of 1 metre, depending on the tone, and current consumption in alarm is only 10 mA.
Installation
The sounder is mounted on a wall. The address is set automatically with EBLWin or with the 4414/4414E addressing tool before the sounder is connected to the loop. The sounder works with EBL512 G3 and EBL128 control panels (Advanced and NORMAL mode from version 2.3, 2330 mode in all versions) and with EBLOne control panels from version 3.3. The short-circuit isolator is in use in Advanced and NORMAL mode.
TVK version
According to the product information, the TVK version has extra terminals for the emergency lighting power supply. This allows the 24 V supply line of the emergency lighting to be routed through the device along the same route as the COM loop, for example when MX emergency luminaires and exit signs are used.
