Product description
Panasonic 4487RE is a red addressable sounder that is mounted on the wall and connected to the COM loop. It has a built-in short-circuit isolator and takes its operating voltage from the loop. The sounder is approved to EN 54-3 and EN 54-17 and is intended for dry indoor areas.
The sounder has seven tones selectable in EBLWin: continuous and intermittent 984 Hz, alternating 644/984 Hz, the German DIN 33404 sweep, the Dutch NEN 2575, the French NFS 32-001 and the Australian T3. The highest minimum sound pressure level is approximately 90–94 dB(A) at a distance of 1 metre, depending on the tone, and the maximum sound level is 93 dB(A). Each of the three priority levels (high, medium and low) is programmed with its own control expression and tone, so the sounder can give a different tone for pre-warning, fire alarm and heavy smoke alarm, for example. A higher-priority condition changes the tone automatically.
The built-in short-circuit isolator does not require its own COM loop address and limits the effect of a short circuit to the faulty loop segment only. Current consumption is low: 2 mA in quiescent state and 10 mA in alarm.
