Product description
Panasonic 4480WH is a white addressable wall-mounted beacon, i.e. a visual alarm device (VAD) to EN 54-23. It has a red LED and a built-in short-circuit isolator, and it takes its operating voltage from the COM loop. It is suitable for indoor use (type A), for example in corridors, offices, toilets and other public spaces.
Coverage and flash rate are selected in EBLWin. At high power, the coverage class is W-2.4-5.0, i.e. the beacon covers an area of 5.0 × 5.0 m (60 m³) when the LED is at a height of no more than 2.4 m. At low power, the class is O (2.5 × 2.5 m, 13 m³), in which case the LED is installed at a height of no more than 2.1 m. The flash rate is set to 0.5 Hz or 1 Hz. The beacons are not synchronised with each other.
The built-in short-circuit isolator does not require its own COM loop address. It divides the loop into segments, so a short circuit disables only the faulty segment and the other devices continue to operate normally.
