Product description

Panasonic 4482RE is a red addressable sounder beacon with a built-in short-circuit isolator. The device is connected directly to the COM loop and mounted on a wall. It is approved to EN 54-3 (sounder), EN 54-17 (short-circuit isolator) and EN 54-23 (visual alarm device) and is suitable for indoor use (type A), such as corridors, offices, toilets and other public spaces.

Beacon

The coverage of the red beacon is selected with EBLWin: at high power W-2.4-5.0 (5.0 × 5.0 m, 60 m³) or at low power O (2.5 × 2.5 m, 13 m³). The flash rate is 0.5 Hz or 1 Hz. The beacon must be installed at a height of no more than 2.4 m, and in class O no more than 2.1 m.

Sounder

The sounder has seven selectable tone types, including the DIN 33404, NEN 2575 and NFS 32-001 tones. Each of the three priority levels is programmed with its own control condition and tone type; when a higher-priority condition is met, the tone changes. The maximum sound level is 96 dB(A), and the highest minimum sound pressure level is approximately 89–94 dB(A) at a distance of 1 metre, depending on the tone.

Installation

The device works in Advanced mode with EBL512 G3 and EBL128 control panels from version 2.3 and with EBLOne control panels from version 3.3. The address is set automatically with EBLWin or with the 4414/4414E addressing tool. The keyholes on the sides of the device are covered with the vinyl stickers supplied.

TVK version

According to the product information, the TVK version has extra terminals for the emergency lighting power supply. This allows the 24 V supply line of the emergency lighting to be routed through the device along the same route as the COM loop, for example when MX emergency luminaires and exit signs are used.
