Product description
Panasonic 4439 is an enclosed addressable manual call point with a built-in short-circuit isolator. It is intended for outdoor use and damp premises, such as wash bays and car parks. The call point is activated by pressing the glass element until it breaks, and the fire alarm control panel then receives a fire alarm. The device must not be exposed to temperatures below −25 °C.
All the electronics are fully potted, and only the terminal strip is accessible from the rear. When the call point is installed in the red back box supplied, together with the seal, the enclosure rating is IP66. A transparent polycarbonate protective flap prevents accidental activation. The indicator flashes to show communication (can be disabled in EBLWin) and is lit continuously after an alarm. Testing is carried out with a test key without breaking the glass.
Installation
The call point is mounted on the wall with the fixing lugs supplied. The required cable entries (max. Ø 20 mm) are opened in the top or bottom of the back box, and the cable glands are fitted before wall mounting. The connection conductor size is 0.5–2 mm².
The COM loop address (001–253) is set automatically with EBLWin or manually with address setting tool 4414/4414E before connection to the loop. The call point works with EBL512 G3, EBLOne and EBL128 control panels; the short-circuit isolator is in use in NORMAL mode. Model 4433 is available for dry indoor premises.
TVK version
According to the product information, the TVK version has extra terminals for the emergency lighting power supply. This allows the 24 V emergency lighting supply line to be routed through the device along the same route as the COM loop, for example when MX emergency luminaires and exit signs are used.
