Product description
Panasonic 4408W is a white analogue addressable heat detector that measures temperature with a thermistor in the range 0–100 °C in 0.5 °C steps. The detector is intended for dry indoor premises and works in EBL512 G3, EBL128 and EBLOne systems.
In NORMAL mode, the alarm algorithm is selected in EBLWin from three classes in accordance with EN 54-5. The class is chosen according to the typical temperature of the room: BS suits warm rooms where the normal temperature can be as high as 40 °C. The classes are A1 (operating range 54–65 °C, alarm at 56 °C, or at 46 °C with a rapid rise of more than 4 °C/min), A2S (54–70 °C, alarm at 60 °C) and BS (69–85 °C, alarm at 74 °C).
Two red LEDs flash in an alarm, and the green polling LED can be set to flash or stay off. In 2330 mode, the detector can be used as a spare part in place of an old 2330 mounting base and heat detector (class A2S).
Installation
- Fitted in analogue mounting base 3312x, 4313 or base sounder 3379
- The COM loop and an external indicator are connected to the mounting base
- Locking screw included; a 2.5–2.7 mm hole is drilled to lock the base
- Address 001–253 and mode are set with tool 4414 or 4414E before connection to the loop
