Product description
Panasonic 4381 is an addressable beacon (VAD) with a built-in short-circuit isolator. It is intended to supplement sounders, and its light is visible through 360° in all directions. The beacon is suitable for indoor use (type A), for example in toilets and other small public spaces. The device is connected directly to the COM loop and requires no separate supply.
The beacon is an open-class (O) device to EN 54-23 with a symmetrical light distribution. It is positioned on the ceiling or wall so that it covers as much of the room volume as possible. The red LED flashes at 0.5 Hz; the beacons are not synchronised with each other.
The built-in short-circuit isolator does not require its own COM loop address; instead, it is given a sequence number in EBLWin. The isolators divide the loop into segments, so a short circuit disables only the faulty segment and the other devices on the loop continue to operate normally.

- Wall or ceiling mounting, with a gasket between the device and the base; screws are not included
- Address 001–253: automatic addressing with EBLWin or manually with the 4414 address setting tool
- EBL512 G3: NORMAL mode V ≥ 1.0 (configured as type 4380), Advanced mode V ≥ 3.1
