Product description
Panasonic 2218 is a remote indicator that is connected to the detector mounting base. It is used when the detector is located out of sight, for example above a suspended ceiling, in a locked room or otherwise concealed. The remote indicator shows directly which detector is in alarm, so there is no need to search for the concealed detector.
The LED of the remote indicator lights up at the same time as the indicator of the detector or base to which it is connected. Depending on the connected detector, the light is steady or flashing. The remote indicator can be connected to all detectors and bases that have an external indicator output, in both analogue and conventional systems. The device is intended for dry indoor spaces.
Installation
The indicator is mounted on the wall; screws are not included. From the base of a conventional detector, it is connected to terminals J2:1 (+5…+35 V DC) and J2:3 (0 V); from the base of an analogue detector, to terminals J2:2 (+, max. 25 mA) and J2:3. Jumper JP1 must always be open. There is no terminal for the cable screen.
