Panasonic 1105 loop tester

Panasonic 1105 Loop Tester is a loop tester for testing, troubleshooting and commissioning a COM loop before the fire alarm control panel has been installed. The tester is connected between the COM loop and a computer, and it can be used to quickly verify the cabling and loop devices during installation. This is useful, for example, when the installation is carried out by a subcontractor.

The Scan loop function in EBLWin finds all devices connected to the loop except expansion boards and shows the loop graphically and as a list. The tester detects open circuits, short circuits, mixed-up L/C conductors and duplicate addresses. The scanned loop can be saved as an XML file, used to create an SSD configuration directly and printed as a PDF report containing the devices’ current consumption, technical number, sequence number and serial number. The report is signed and included in the handover documentation.

The tester can also set the addresses of loop devices automatically. From EBLWin version 2.10.0 onwards, the 1105 wizard guides you through loop scanning and addressing. Devices with an isolator receive addresses 1–128 and devices without an isolator 129–248.

Use

The tester is earthed to the nearest protective earth point and connected to the COM loop, to a 24 V power supply and to the computer with a USB cable. Logging in to EBLWin requires the EBLWin key 5094.
