Product description
SMART-CU-11LCD is the central unit of Ambient System’s smartVES voice alarm system. It is a matrix mixer for input signals that routes audio to four internal 100 V audio buses, to the system’s 45-channel digital bus or directly to the unit’s audio outputs. According to the manufacturer, the unit can act as the control panel of a small system or as an expansion unit in a larger system.
The central unit monitors zones, loudspeaker lines and amplifiers. When it detects a fault, it reports it to the system and automatically switches in the standby amplifier. If the connection to the network’s master unit is lost, the unit runs the alarm scenarios autonomously using its locally stored configuration.
The unit has 11 slots for loudspeaker line control cards and for control input and output cards. The built-in SMART-cAudIO-4/12 card has 4 balanced line inputs and 12 balanced outputs for external devices and smartVES amplifiers. The touchscreen on the front panel is used for the system’s management and monitoring functions. The version without a display is SMART-CU-11LT.
