Product description
PAVA-2001LN is a wall-mounted panel in Panasonic’s PAVA voice alarm system. The same enclosure houses the control unit with its touchscreen, the fire brigade microphone, the amplifiers and the power supply. The panel has 4 loudspeaker lines (2 × AB), a total load capacity of 320 W rms and one simultaneous message.
The standby amplifier keeps announcements running if an amplifier fails. The loudspeaker lines can be monitored by impedance measurement, loop isolators or end-of-line modules. The panel has been tested and approved to EN 54-16 and EN 54-4 (CPR 1438-CPR-1146). It is Ambient System’s miniVES 2001LN sold under Panasonic’s product name, so the manufacturer’s CPR certificate 1438-CPR-0527 (EN 54-16 and EN 54-4) also covers it. Batteries are ordered separately.
PAVA exchanges alarm and fault information with Panasonic’s EBL fire alarm system over a supervised TCP/IP connection. According to Panasonic, the panel is easy to connect to SIP and IP intercom systems.
The extended network card of the N model is intended for larger or distributed systems in which the panels are connected over long distances, by optical fibre or with redundant network connections. The card has a LAN/WAN port for programming and integrations, two LAN ports (one with PoE), an RS485 port, two slots for optional SFP modules and two freely programmable logic inputs and outputs.
The first digit of Panasonic’s model code is the number of A/B zones (2). When the lines are wired directly rather than as A/B pairs, the number of zones can be doubled. The last digit indicates the number of simultaneous messages. Letters: L = touchscreen, N = extended network card, R = rack-mounted model.
