Product description
SMART-CU-8LCD is a central unit of Ambient System’s smartVES voice alarm system. According to the manufacturer, it is intended as the system’s main controller that controls the other devices. The unit is a matrix mixer for input signals that routes audio to four internal 100 V audio buses, to a 48-channel digital bus or directly to the unit’s audio outputs. It has a redundant processor card (2 × ABT-xCPU).
The rear panel has four function card slots for audio input, audio output and logic cards (ABT-xAudIO-4/8-RS, ABT-xAudI-8, ABT-xLogIN-8f and ABT-xLogOUT-8f). In addition, there are eight control card slots for loudspeaker line control cards and logic cards (ABT-xCtrLine-4, ABT-xCtrLine-2, ABT-xLogIN-8c and ABT-xLogOUT-8c).
The colour touchscreen on the front panel is used for the system’s management and monitoring functions. According to the manufacturer, the system can be integrated with other manufacturers’ devices using the SMS protocol.
