Product description
AE2010GH-S is a Panasonic Aspect series aspirating smoke detector with two Grizzle optical smoke sensors. Each pipe has its own detection chamber, so the detector distinguishes two detection areas. The device has a built-in power supply, filters and space for a backup battery. The enclosure is anodised aluminium, and the overpressurised design keeps dust and moisture away from the electronics.
The detector has the SENSORKIT-GH sensor kit (B+/B). According to Panasonic’s technical description, the more sensitive kit is intended for clean environments. Sensitivity can be set per area and separately for day and night with the Aspect Tool B app, which connects to the detector via Bluetooth (BLE).
The stand-alone model is connected to a conventional zone input of the fire alarm control panel via a 4461 unit. The panel receives fire and fault signals but cannot distinguish between the areas; the area in alarm is shown on the detector’s front panel. According to Panasonic’s datasheet, the stand-alone version is ordered by replacing P with S in the order code.
