Product description
VF 250 com VULCAN is Panasonic’s cyclone filter for the Aspect aspirating smoke detector in extremely dusty areas. The filter is installed immediately before the detector’s pipe inlet. It separates large particles and condensate from the air sample before the detection chamber, and according to Panasonic it adds no more than five seconds to the transport time.
According to Panasonic’s VULCAN brochure, the vortex flow removes almost all particles larger than 5 µm and the water, and the air velocity must be at least 2.5 m/s for full effect. The filter is only needed in areas with large particles and heavy dust, such as the wood, textile and recycling industries and livestock buildings. VULCAN must be earthed to avoid static charge.
