Product description
Panasonic EBL512 G3 5000S is an addressable fire alarm control panel whose COM loops connect detectors, manual call points, alarm devices and I/O units. MX series emergency luminaires and exit signs can also be connected to the same COM loops, in which case the control panel monitors their condition and controls them – for example, the red cross of an exit sign can be lit on the basis of a fire alarm to indicate a closed escape route. The 24 V supply line of the luminaires is provided by the MX Power Box power supply unit, which supplies the luminaires on up to four COM loops; MX luminaires require control panel software 2.10 or later.
Features
The control panel has four COM loops, each of which can connect up to 253 devices. The panel can be configured for 128, 256 or 512 alarm points, and the number can be increased on site. Each loop can have up to 128 short-circuit isolators, and the panel has its own isolators for the A and B directions of the loop. In addition, the panel has four monitored 24 V outputs, two programmable relay outputs, four programmable inputs and relay outputs for fire and fault transmission. The front panel includes the fire brigade panel, a graphic display and the operating panel.
Network and connections
Up to 30 control panels can be connected to a redundant EBL Ring network with network boards 5040. The control panel can be monitored and operated remotely, and it can be connected to building management and maintenance systems via gateway 5088. Programming and commissioning are carried out with EBLWin.
Installation
The control panel is wall mounted on a non-combustible surface with the mounting plate supplied; accessories include the 19" rack mount 5020, mounting plate for combustible walls 5021 and flush mounting frame 5068. Two batteries of up to 28 Ah fit inside the panel; larger batteries (up to 65 Ah) are placed in battery cabinet 5014. The control panel is intended for dry indoor spaces.
