Product description
MX Light C (corridor) is an addressable LED emergency luminaire from Emex for Panasonic fire alarm systems (EBL512 G3, EBLOne). The luminaire is non-maintained: in normal mode it draws power from the supply line and charges its internal battery, and it switches on in the event of a power failure, phase failure, control expression or fire alarm. The rated duration is 1 hour (NiMH battery 1.2 V).
MX Light C is designed for corridors and escape routes. Its asymmetric light distribution spreads the light along an elongated space and provides an illuminance of 0.5–5 lux at floor level. The spacing tables in the technical description cover mounting heights of 2.5–5.5 m (1 lx) and 2.5–5 m (5 lx).
Monitoring and testing
The luminaire performs a commissioning test, an automatic monthly function test (LED and battery) and a full duration test at least once a year. Its status is shown by the indicator light, and faults are reported to the fire alarm control panel as technical warnings; test results are stored in the event log, which can be read with EBLWin. The LED service life is over 10 years and the battery life 3–6 years.
Installation
The luminaire is fitted to the analogue base 3312FLW or 3312W, mounted on the ceiling or wall, by turning it 25° clockwise and locking it with the side screw. The COM loop is connected to the SA and SB terminals of the base and the 24 V supply line to the E+ and E− terminals. The address (001–253) and NORMAL mode are set with the address setting tool 4414 before connecting the luminaire to the loop. A maximum of 35–40 devices per supply line is recommended. A recessed mounting frame 920007 and a threaded rod plate 920013 are available as accessories.
