PAP Days are an important part of the PAP Group's culture. They provide an opportunity to stop, look ahead and strengthen team spirit. This year, all Finnish PAPs gathered at Kokoushotelli Murikanranta in Teisko, Tampere, which provided a great setting for both a business programme and relaxation.
Morning: news and thoughts
The day started with an update on the company. Financial figures, upcoming reforms and day-to-day developments were discussed. We discussed how we can further improve our service and ensure that our customers receive a consistent and smooth service - no matter where we operate in Finland.
Each of the different activities had its own voice. Logistics, technical support, project and maintenance services, and customer and administrative services gave their own perspectives on how to make everyday life smoother, as well as their praise and ideas for improvement.
The joint discussion was open and constructive. The wide-ranging discussion helped to build common understanding and strengthen cooperation across team boundaries.
PAPs of the year awarded
During the day, the PAPs of the Year were also celebrated. Staff were able to vote for their own candidates, and votes were widely cast across the organisation. This shows how valuable and important work is being done in so many roles.
Project Engineer Timo Annanolli, and Systems Specialist Sami Sevon received the most votes. Both have impressed colleagues with their work and attitude.
The winners received warm applause and thanks from the whole team. It's great that together we can highlight everyday success stories and recognise good work.
Afternoon: wine yoga and refreshment
After the day's programme, it was time to relax. Wine yoga brought lightness and good mood. The guided practice combined gentle movement and wine tasting, and brought a smile to the faces of many, as this was their first time in yoga.
After yoga, the evening continued with sauna, barbecue and socialising. These are often the moments when the best conversations and new acquaintances are made, when colleagues from different places can exchange ideas informally. The atmosphere was light-hearted and warm, exactly what makes PAP Days special.
