The key to building fire safety

The fire alarm system is a key element in building fire safety, as it automatically alerts you to changes in the fire safety situation in the building. The fire alarm systems implemented by PAP are addressable, interactive, scalable and adaptable to environmental changes. They are built with Panasonic's state-of-the-art, intelligent and modern system components.

The smoke detector is equipped with a powerful optical system that accurately detects smoke entering the room at an early stage. The smoke detector continuously learns from its environment, ensuring timely alarms and minimising false alarms. When the smoke detector becomes fouled or changes in its functionality, it automatically alerts for maintenance.

The heat detector is suitable for areas where a smoke detector cannot be used due to disturbances or because the temperature of the controlled area rises rapidly in the event of a fire. The heat detector will sound an alarm when the temperature in the room exceeds the specified limit values. In addition to extreme temperature conditions, the heat detector can also be installed in damp, awkward spaces or outdoors.

A multi-detector is a multi-criteria detector that incorporates the best features of both a smoke detector and a heat detector. The multi-detector can intelligently measure the variation of its ambient temperature and smoke values, minimising the number of false alarms.

The fire button allows the user of the building to sound the fire alarm. The fire button can be conventional, in which case the alarm is triggered with fire group accuracy. If it is directional, it indicates the exact location of the fire. An alarm from a fire button can be transmitted either locally within the building or in real time to the emergency centre.

The siren can be used as an early warning or when a fire alarm is needed to tell people to leave the property. Sirens can be conventional, addressable or addressable sirens. In addition to sound, the siren may use a variety of flashing lights to enhance evacuation in noisy areas.

The heart of the fire alarm system is the central unit, which acts as the integration interface between all the emergency equipment installed on site. The central unit also controls other emergency-related equipment such as lifts, escalators, fire doors and smoke curtains. It transmits fire alarms and information on the operation of the fire detection system and allows remote monitoring and maintenance of the system. The central unit of the fire alarm system is controlled via a control panel or a graphical user interface.
