# Securiton MFS 25 magnetic filter for sampling pipes

Product code 61422

Magnetic filter for separating metallic dust from the air sample, for example near rail-mounted transport systems. Supplements a dust filter.

## Product description

MFS 25 is Securiton’s magnetic filter that separates metallic dust from the air sample. According to the datasheet, the particle size of metallic dust partly overlaps that of smoke particles, so a conventional dust filter cannot remove it. The filter is used, for example, near rail-mounted transport systems.

The strong neodymium magnet sits inside a replaceable plastic cartridge, and the air flows around the cartridge. There is no pressure drop, so the filter does not affect the detector’s intake volume. The manufacturer recommends using it together with a dust filter unit and checking the cartridge quarterly.
