# Panasonic PAVA-DMS microphone station

## Product description

PAVA-DMS is a zone microphone station of Panasonic’s PAVA voice alarm system. In PAP’s Finnish-language datasheet, it appears under the manufacturer’s code ABT-DMS. It is used to make live and pre-recorded announcements to selected zones. According to Panasonic, the zones, priorities and access rights of the nine function buttons are programmable. The microphone station’s connection to the system is monitored.

According to the manufacturer’s datasheet, the microphone station is to be used only for announcements other than evacuation and alarm announcements.

The microphone station has a built-in loudspeaker and an intercom function that allows the zone’s microphone stations to communicate with each other in both directions. A background music source, for example, can be connected to the four local audio inputs. There is a separate connection for headphones.

The connection to the central unit runs over Ethernet (10/100BASE-TX). The microphone station is powered via PoE or from a separate 48 V power supply. Up to five ABT-EKB-20M expansion units can be connected to it.
