## Product description

PAVA-DFMS is the fire brigade microphone station of Panasonic’s PAVA voice alarm system. In PAP’s Finnish-language datasheet, it appears under the manufacturer’s code ABT-DFMS. The microphone station is used to make alarm announcements and general announcements, select announcement zones and send pre-recorded voice messages. The functions of the function buttons are configured for each site.

The microphone station is a monitored device. It detects button faults and audio path faults right up to the microphone capsule. The microphone station works with the central units in a redundant ring and can also act as a substitute for the system’s central unit. With the CPU-OFF switch, announcements are sent to all zones without involvement of the central unit, even during a central processor fault.

The recording function (black box) records all announcements made during an emergency. With the intercom function, the microphone station communicates with the system’s other microphone stations. The connection to the system runs over optical fibre via SFP modules or over a Cat 5e cable. The microphone station is powered via PoE or from a separate EN 54-4 power supply. Up to five ABT-EKB-20M expansion units can be connected to it.
