# PAP MX IP65 exit sign and emergency luminaire

Addressable IP65-rated luminaire that works either as an exit sign or as an emergency luminaire. Designed for demanding spaces such as car parks, industrial premises and outdoor use.

## Product description

MX IP65 is an addressable luminaire that can be used either as an exit sign or as an emergency luminaire. The mode of use is selected with a DIP switch on the luminaire’s circuit board; the factory setting is emergency luminaire. As an exit sign the luminaire is maintained and the whole pictogram is illuminated, with a viewing distance of 25 m. As an emergency luminaire it switches on only during a power failure or emergency. The IP65 ingress protection rating makes it suitable for car parks, industrial premises and outdoor use.

The luminaire is connected to the COM loop of a Panasonic fire alarm system, so the control panel monitors its condition. The internal NiMH battery (2.4 V, 2,400 mAh) provides a rated duration of 3 hours. Automatic function, battery and duration tests and an indicator light show the status of the device. Four pictograms (up, down, left, right) are included in the delivery; for a double-sided sign, the double-sided cover 930016 is available as an accessory, supplied with up and down pictograms.

### Installation

The luminaire is mounted on the wall or ceiling. The COM loop is connected to the SA and SB terminals on the circuit board and the 24 V operating voltage to the E+ and E− terminals. The address (1–253) is set with the address setting tool 4414 in NORMAL mode (EBL512 G3). The recommended wire diameter is 0.6–1.2 mm.
