# Panasonic PH12-36B PowerHouse battery box for the Aspect detector

## Product description

PowerHouse PH12-36B is Panasonic’s battery box for 12 V lead batteries. It is intended for use with the internal power supply and charger of the Aspect aspirating smoke detector when the detector’s internal battery is not enough. According to Panasonic’s technical description, the box holds up to four 9 Ah batteries (36 Ah), and the Aspect’s internal charger meets the EN 54-4 charging requirement up to 24 Ah. A separate charger is recommended for higher capacities.

The batteries are connected in parallel, and one conductor runs from the box to the Aspect, recommended maximum 10 m (1.5 mm²). The Aspect measures the internal resistance of the batteries and reports a battery fault. The box has its own connection card and battery plugs, and the delivery includes 6.3 and 4.8 mm receptacle adapters and battery cables for four batteries. One fuse protects the battery circuit. Batteries are not included.
