# Panasonic 6386 extension tube for duct detector, 1.06 m

1.06 metre extension tube for the venturi tube of the Panasonic 6377 (Uniguard-4) duct detector housing. The extension tube is used in ventilation ducts wider than 0.6 metres.

## Product description

Panasonic 6386 is a 1.06 metre extension tube for the venturi tube of the duct detector housing 6377 (Uniguard-4). When the width or diameter of the ventilation duct is more than 0.6 metres, the venturi tube must be extended so that it passes through the entire duct. This way, the air passing through the detector in the housing represents the airflow of the entire duct.

The extension tube is connected to the standard 0.6 metre venturi tube 6380-06 or to the tube with a fan, 6381-06. The supplied rubber seal is fitted between the tubes, the tubes are pushed fully together and the joint is locked with the two supplied screws.

### Installation

A Ø 38 mm hole is drilled in the duct on the housing side and a Ø 51 mm hole on the opposite side. If required, the extension tube is cut to a suitable length, an end cap is fitted to its end and the penetration in the opposite wall is sealed with rubber seal 6385. The tube may extend at most 30 mm outside the duct wall. After installation, check that the housing’s airflow indicator moves and that the detector responds to test spray.
