# Panasonic 6382 mounting bracket for duct detector

Mounting bracket (UG bracket) for Uniguard-4 duct detector housing 6377. Used on round and insulated ventilation ducts, where the duct diameter can be as small as 100 mm.

## Product description

Panasonic 6382 is a mounting bracket for the Uniguard-4 duct detector housing (6377). Uniguard-4 detects smoke in ventilation ducts: a venturi tube inserted into the duct leads the airflow to the smoke detector in the housing, and the system works at duct air velocities of 0.5–20 m/s. Normally the foot of the housing is fixed directly to the duct surface, but this is not possible on round and insulated ducts, in which case bracket 6382 is used.

### Applications

The bracket is intended for round ventilation ducts and insulated rectangular ducts. When the bracket is used, the duct diameter can be as small as 100 mm.

### Installation

The bracket is supplied flat and is easy to bend and shape to fit a round or rectangular duct.

1.  Drill a Ø 51 mm hole in the duct.
2.  Fix the bracket to the duct.
3.  Make sure that the venturi tube has a rubber seal.
4.  Install the Uniguard-4 and the venturi tube on the bracket according to the instructions in the technical description.

The mounting location is chosen as for airflow meters: three duct diameters of straight duct are left before a damper, filter or bend, and five diameters after them.
