# Panasonic 6381-06 fan tube for duct detector, 0.6 m

0.6 metre venturi tube with a built-in fan for the Panasonic 6377 (Uniguard-4) duct detector housing. Used in ducts where the airflow is too low for a standard tube.

## Product description

Panasonic 6381-06 is a 0.6 metre venturi tube with a built-in booster fan. The Uniguard-4 duct detector housing 6377 detects smoke in ventilation ducts. The housing and venturi tube are designed so that the airflow in the duct is drawn evenly across the entire duct cross-section through the detector when the duct air velocity is 0.5–20 m/s. When the airflow in the duct is low, the fan ensures that enough air passes through the detector.

The fan tube is intended especially for sites where the housing’s airflow indicator does not move when a standard tube is installed. In such a situation, the manufacturer advises either moving the housing to another location or using a tube with a fan. If required, the tube can be extended with the 1.06 metre extension tube 6386.

### Installation

The fan requires a separate 24 V AC or DC supply, current consumption 75 mA. The tube is installed in housing 6377 in the same way as a standard venturi tube: the tube should extend across about 90% of the duct width, and in ducts wider than 0.6 metres it must pass through the entire duct. After installation, operation is checked with test spray through the test hole in the cover.
