# Panasonic 6380-06 venturi tube for duct detector, 0.6 m

0.6 metre venturi tube for the Panasonic 6377 (Uniguard-4) duct detector housing. The tube leads air from the ventilation duct through the smoke detector in the housing.

## Product description

Panasonic 6380-06 is a 0.6 metre venturi tube for the duct detector housing 6377. The Uniguard-4 duct detector housing 6377 detects smoke in ventilation ducts. The housing and venturi tube are designed so that the airflow in the duct is drawn evenly across the entire duct cross-section through the detector when the duct air velocity is 0.5–20 m/s.

The cross-section of the venturi tube and the slots along its sides produce a strong venturi effect: air flows into the tube and back into the duct evenly across the entire duct width, so the tube is in practice self-adjusting. The tube is made of aluminium and can be shortened to the required length. The end on the end cap side must not be cut.

### Installation

The tube should extend across about 90% of the duct width. A Ø 38 mm hole is drilled in the duct, the end cap and black seal are fitted to the tube, and the tube is locked to the housing with a locking screw. In ducts wider than 0.6 metres, the tube is extended with the 1.06 metre extension tube 6386, in which case the tube must pass through the entire duct. If the airflow in the duct is low, the tube with a fan, 6381-06, can be used.
