# Panasonic 6228 detector heater

Self-regulating heater that prevents condensation in the detector in cold or damp indoor premises. Installed behind the detector mounting base.

## Product description

Panasonic 6228 is a detector heater for cold and damp indoor premises. The heater prevents moisture from condensing in the detector and keeps the detector’s surroundings within its permitted operating range.

The heater is self-regulating, and its surface temperature is 40 (±7) °C. When the ambient temperature is −20 °C, the heater raises the temperature around the installed detector to −10 °C. The operating voltage is 12–30 V AC/DC, and the current consumption is 420 mA at 24 V. The supply cables are connected to push-in terminals; the COM loop runs to the base in the usual way.

### Installation

The heater plate is installed between the moisture protection 6218 and the mounting base. When the ambient temperature is below −10 °C, an insulating plate is also used. The combined height of the base and detector may be at most 64.3 mm. If base 2324 is used, its locking mechanism must be cut off before installation, otherwise the detector cannot be removed after installation.

The heater fits mounting bases 2324, 3312, 3312F, 3312FL, 4313 and 4412F.
