# Panasonic 4645 wireless local alarm acknowledgement button

Wireless local alarm acknowledgement button for Panasonic EBL fire alarm systems. The button lets the user acknowledge a local alarm caused by cooking, for example, before the fire brigade is alerted.

## Product description

Panasonic 4645 is a wireless local alarm acknowledgement button (LAA) that is connected to an EBL fire alarm system via the 4620 base unit. The button is installed, for example, in a flat together with a smoke detector and sounder base, or with the 4611 wireless smoke detector, which has a built-in buzzer. The aim is to reduce unnecessary fire alarms and fire brigade call-outs.

When a detector in the area detects smoke, the sounder base or the detector buzzer starts sounding and the indicator on the button lights up. If the user presses the button within the acknowledgement time (30 s by default, programmable 10–120 s), the local alarm is silenced and the user has a check time (3 min by default, programmable 1–9 min) to ventilate the smoke away. If the button is not pressed, or there is still smoke when the check time ends, the control panel gives a normal fire alarm. With the 4400 and 4400I multi-sensor detectors, the acknowledgement can be overridden if the heat element of the detector detects a fire.

### Installation and compatibility

The button uses one COM loop address and belongs under the 4620 base unit, to which up to 16 wireless units can be connected. The local alarm area and the detectors belonging to it are programmed in EBLWin. The power source is two 3 V 4612 lithium batteries. The button is intended for dry indoor areas, and opening its cover gives a fault signal to the control panel.
