## Product description

Panasonic 4580 is an expansion board installed inside the EBL512 G3 fire alarm control panel for connecting conventional, i.e. non-addressable, detectors to the panel. The board is suitable for sites where conventional zone lines need to be combined with an addressable system, for example in extensions or for Ex detectors in potentially explosive atmospheres.

The board has eight inputs, and up to 32 detectors can be connected to each input. Both standard and Ex detectors can be connected to the inputs. An alarm delay is available for the inputs, and alert annunciation, two-detector dependence and disablement can be programmed for them using the panel’s time channel.

### Installation and compatibility

The board is installed in an EBL512 G3 panel (5000S or 5001S) and connected with the expansion board cable 5089. The board is covered by the panel’s EN 54-2 and EN 54-4 approvals, so no separate product approval is required. The board measures 120 × 110 × 20 mm and weighs 70 g, and it is intended for use at temperatures of −5…+40 °C and a relative humidity of up to 95%.
