Addressable wall-mounted sounder beacon: an EN 54-3 sounder and an EN 54-23 visual alarm device in one unit, with a built-in short-circuit isolator. Powered from the COM loop.

## Product description

Panasonic 4482WH is a white addressable sounder beacon combining a sounder, a red LED visual alarm device (beacon) and a built-in short-circuit isolator in one wall-mounted housing. The device is powered from the COM loop. It is approved to EN 54-3, EN 54-17 and EN 54-23 and is suitable for indoor use (type A), for example in corridors, offices, toilets and other public areas.

The sounder has seven tones selectable in EBLWin: continuous and intermittent 984 Hz, alternating 644/984 Hz, the German DIN 33404 sweep, the Dutch NEN 2575, the French NFS 32-001 and the Australian T3. The highest minimum sound pressure level is approximately 89–94 dB(A) at a distance of 1 metre, depending on the tone, and the maximum sound level is 96 dB(A). Beacon coverage and flash rate are selected in EBLWin: at high power the class is W-2.4-5.0 (5.0 × 5.0 m, 60 m³, LED at a height of no more than 2.4 m) and at low power O (2.5 × 2.5 m, 13 m³, no more than 2.1 m). The flash rate is 0.5 or 1 Hz. The beacons are not synchronised with each other.

The built-in short-circuit isolator does not require its own COM loop address and limits the effect of a short circuit to the faulty segment of the loop only.
