Addressable EN 54-23 ceiling-mounted beacon with a built-in short-circuit isolator. Coverage C-3-7.3, i.e. Ø 7.3 m, for corridors, offices and toilets, for example.

## Product description

Panasonic 4481RE is a red addressable ceiling-mounted beacon, i.e. a visual alarm device (VAD) to EN 54-23. It has a red LED and a built-in short-circuit isolator, and it takes its operating voltage from the COM loop. It is suitable for indoor use (type A), for example in corridors, offices, toilets and other public spaces.

Coverage and flash rate are selected in EBLWin. At high power, the coverage class is C-3-7.3, i.e. a beacon mounted on the ceiling at a height of no more than 3 m covers a cylinder 7.3 m in diameter (125 m³). At low power, the class is C-3-3 (Ø 3.0 m, 21.2 m³). The flash rate is set to 0.5 Hz or 1 Hz. The beacons are not synchronised with each other.

The built-in short-circuit isolator does not require its own COM loop address. It divides the loop into segments, so a short circuit disables only the faulty segment and the other devices continue to operate normally.
