# Panasonic 4461 I/O unit with short-circuit isolator

Addressable multi-function I/O unit with two relay outputs, a supervised input (also usable as a conventional detection zone), an opto-isolated input and a general-purpose input. Built-in short-circuit isolator, IP65.

## Product description

Panasonic 4461 is an addressable multi-function I/O unit with a built-in short-circuit isolator. The unit takes its operating voltage from the COM loop, and all inputs and outputs are programmed with EBLWin. It is used, for example, for closing fire doors, for controlling other systems and for connecting conventional detectors, manual call points and optical beam detectors to an addressable system.

The unit has two relay outputs (NO or NC contact, 2 A 30 V DC). The supervised input Z/In0 works either as a conventional detection zone that detects short circuits and open circuits in accordance with EN 54-13 (end-of-line capacitor 10 µF, max. 32 alarm points per zone), or as a general-purpose input for an NO or NC contact. Five active zone connections are allowed per loop. The opto-isolated input In1 is activated by an external 6–30 V DC voltage, and In2 is a general-purpose input. The general-purpose inputs can be supervised with a 33 kΩ end-of-line resistor. For example, a beam detector can be connected to the zone input and reset via the relay output.
