# Panasonic 4409 IP67 addressable heat detector

Product code 41301

Analogue addressable heat detector in a watertight IP67 housing. Intended for outdoor areas and damp indoor premises; the alarm class is selected from A1, A2S or BS.

## Product description

Panasonic 4409 is an analogue addressable heat detector with a watertight (IP67) housing. The detector is intended for outdoor areas and damp indoor premises. It must not be installed in strong sunlight or in rooms where the temperature drops below −20 °C. Temperature is measured with a thermistor in the range 0–100 °C in 0.5 °C steps.

The alarm algorithm is selected in EBLWin from three classes in accordance with EN 54-5: A1 (alarm at 56 °C, or at 46 °C with a rapid rise of more than 4 °C/min), A2S (60 °C) or BS (74 °C). In class BS, the detector is suitable for rooms where the typical temperature can be as high as 40 °C. The detector LED lights up in an alarm, and an external indicator can be connected, for example remote indicator 2218 (terminals E+ and E−, current max. 2.6 mA).

### Installation

-   The junction box is mounted on the ceiling; screws are not included
-   Cables are brought in through compression glands (tightened to at least 4 Nm); for cables under 6 mm, use the rubber tube supplied
-   The COM loop is connected to the SA/SB terminals of the box, and the detector is fixed to the box with two screws
-   Address 001–253 is set with tool 4414 or 4414E before connection to the loop
-   NORMAL mode: EBL512 G3, EBL128 and EBLOne V ≥ 3.3
