## Product description

Panasonic 4400I-B is a matt black addressable analogue multi-sensor detector that combines an optical smoke detector, a heat detector and a built-in short-circuit isolator in one low-profile housing. The detector is intended for dry indoor areas and works only in Advanced mode with EBL512 G3 (V ≥ 2.4) and EBLOne (V ≥ 3.3) control panels.

The fire decision is based on artificial intelligence that combines smoke density, a fixed temperature threshold and the rate of temperature rise. In this way, real fires are detected and false alarms caused by, for example, artificial smoke or oil mist can be reduced. Five room algorithms are available: normal, smoke/steam, clean, heater and cooking/welding. The learning function monitors local conditions for about a month and switches to a more suitable algorithm if necessary; for known rooms, the algorithm can also be set manually with EBLWin. The detector compensates for contamination automatically and gives a service signal when it needs to be replaced. It also stores its installation date, so the control panel can report an ageing detector.

The built-in short-circuit isolator divides the COM loop into segments, so a short circuit disables only the faulty segment. Two red LEDs flash in a fire alarm, and a green LED can indicate control panel polling, test mode or isolator activation.

-   Installed in a 4412F base or a 4479 base sounder; not suitable for 3312x or 3379 bases
-   Automatic addressing with EBLWin or manually with the 4414/4414E tool (address 001–253)
-   Can be locked to the 4412F base with a hex socket screw (ordered separately)
-   No external indicator connection in the detector; the 4418 remote indicator is connected via the base
