## Product description

Panasonic 3000-115 is the Fireray 3000 Ex d, an end-to-end infrared beam detector for protecting large hazardous areas. The system detects smouldering and heavily smoking fires at an early stage, which flame detectors may not detect. It is designed for large spaces such as oil platforms, refineries and explosives stores.

The system comprises a transmitter, a receiver, a controller, fixings and two brackets. The transmitter and receiver are ATEX-certified Ex d enclosures for Group II hazardous areas. The controller is installed in a safe area, so adjustment and testing can be carried out from outside the hazardous area. The sensitivity (25–60%) and the alarm and fault delay (2–30 s) are set on the LCD display of the controller. The requirements of EN 54-12 are met with a sensitivity of 25% and an alarm delay of no more than 20 seconds. Light Cancellation technology and compensation for contamination and building movement reduce false alarms.

### Installation

The measuring distance is 10–80 m. The receiver has laser alignment, and both ends have fine adjustment wheels. Two detector pairs can be connected to the controller (additional pack 3000-026), each with its own fire and fault relay. The controller can also power the transmitter. Ex d cable glands are used for cable entries. Protective cage 1000-019 is available as an accessory.
