## Product description

Fireray 3000 is an end-to-end beam detector (smoke detector) based on infrared technology. It is suitable for large, high open spaces and for sites where maintaining ceiling-mounted detectors is difficult. The system consists of a transmitter, a receiver and a controller mounted at low level. This detector pack contains one transmitter (clear lens) and one receiver (dark lens) without a controller, and it is used to extend the system to a two-detector configuration: up to two detectors can be connected to the controller, each with its own fire and fault relays.

### Operation

The transmitter sends an infrared beam to the receiver. When smoke weakens the signal below the set threshold, the detector gives an alarm. The operating range is 5–120 m (EN 54-12), and the sensitivity, alarm delay and contamination compensation are set at the controller. The patented Light Cancellation Technology reduces the risk of false alarms, and the detector is suitable for sites where the line of sight is narrow or structures have reflective surfaces.

### Installation

The transmitter and receiver have adjustment wheels that allow the beam to be aligned by 10° in both planes; an optional adjustment bracket allows a wider range of adjustment. The laser alignment integrated in the receiver makes installation by one person easier. The transmitter can be powered from the controller, which reduces the need for separate power supplies. Accessories include the protective cage 1000-019 and an anti-condensation heater.
