# Panasonic 2814 ATEX manual call point CCP-E-IS

Intrinsically safe (Ex ia) conventional manual call point for hazardous areas. The call point is based on Hochiki’s KAC World Series housing and operates with either a breakable glass element or a non-breaking plastic element.

## Product description

Panasonic 2814 is Hochiki’s CCP-E-IS, an intrinsically safe (IS) conventional manual call point for hazardous areas. The call point is based on the widely used KAC World Series housing and is used together with IS smoke and heat detectors on the same detector circuit in the hazardous area.

The call point can be fitted with either a breakable glass element or a non-breaking plastic element. The design is robust, and the terminals accept single-core conductors up to 2.5 mm². The call point is ATEX rated II 1 G Ex ia IIC T4, so it is suitable for category 1 gas areas and all lower categories. Temperature class T4 means that the surface temperature of the device does not exceed 135 °C. The call point also has GL type approval.

### Installation

The IS detector circuit is connected to the fire alarm control panel via a Zener barrier or galvanic isolator located in the safe area. An unlimited number of IS manual call points can be connected to the circuit, and they are always connected at the start of the circuit, before the detectors. Up to 20 IS detectors can be connected to the same circuit. A weatherproof IP67 version of the call point, CCP-W-IS, is also available.
