# MX25 RX exit sign body, 1 h

Body of the addressable MX25 RX exit sign with a rated duration of 1 hour. With its red cross, the luminaire can indicate a closed exit direction during a fire alarm.

## Product description

Emex MX25 RX is an addressable LED exit sign for Panasonic fire alarm systems (EBL512 G3, EBLOne). This product is the luminaire body, i.e. the mounting profile with its electronics and 1-hour battery (NiMH 1.2 V). The sign panel, the red cross panel 970020 and the analogue base 3312FLW/3312W are ordered separately. The sign is maintained: the whole panel is illuminated in both normal and emergency mode, and the viewing distance is 25 m.

### Red cross (RX)

On the RX model, the separately ordered red cross panel 970020 is fitted on top of the sign panel. When an alarm point or zone is in fire alarm state, a control expression lights the cross to indicate that the exit direction cannot be used safely, for example because of smoke. The cross goes out when the fire alarm is reset with the reset button on the control panel. In EBLWin the device is programmed as type Exit light (MXER). On the RX model the sign panel can only be single-sided.

### Monitoring and testing

The luminaire performs a commissioning test, an automatic monthly function test and a full duration test at least once a year. The indicator light shows its status (green = normal, flashing green = commissioning test, red = LED fault, flashing red = battery fault or failed duration test), and faults are reported to the fire alarm control panel as technical warnings.

### Installation

The body is fitted to the analogue base by turning it 25° clockwise and locking it with the hexagon socket screw, after which the sign is turned to the correct position. The sign panel is slid into the profile until it clicks into place and is fixed with a screw. The COM loop is connected to the SA and SB terminals of the base and the 24 V supply line to the E+ and E− terminals; the address (001–253) is set with the address setting tool 4414. A recessed mounting frame 920001, ball guard 920009 and threaded rod plate 920013 are available as accessories.
