# MX25 Red X

Red cross panel for the MX25 RX exit sign. It is fitted on top of the sign panel; the cross lights up during a fire alarm to show that the exit direction cannot be used.

## Product description

Emex 970020 is a red cross panel for MX25 RX exit signs. An adaptive exit sign can be used to guide evacuation dynamically: when a fire has been detected along the route, a red cross that lights up over the sign indicates that the exit direction cannot be used safely, which reduces the risk of people heading into smoke-filled areas.

### Operation

The panel is fitted on top of the sign panel of the MX25 RX body. When an alarm point or zone is in fire alarm state, a control expression in the fire alarm control panel lights the red cross. The cross goes out when the fire alarm is reset with the reset button on the control panel. In EBLWin the luminaire is programmed as type Exit light (MXER). When the cross is lit, the power consumption of the MX25 luminaire is no more than 1.2 W (battery charging).

### Compatibility and installation

The panel only fits MX25 RX bodies with the red cross function: 825101 (1 h), 825301 (3 h) and 825303 (black, 3 h). On the RX model the sign panel is always single-sided. The sign panel is fitted in the body first; the red cross panel is then slid on top of it, locked with a screw and secured with the plastic buttons supplied. MX40 RX luminaires have their own panel, 970021.
