# NiMH 1.2 V battery (MX series)

## Product description

This 1.2 V NiMH battery is a replacement battery for Emex MX series luminaires that have no battery connecting lead. MX luminaires with a rated duration of 1 hour receive their backup power from a single 1.2 V NiMH cell. According to Emex’s product catalogue, the battery is available in Finland only.

In the newer MX series 2020 luminaires, the battery is connected with a connecting lead; the matching replacement battery for them is 910002. Check the old battery to see which model the luminaire takes.

According to the manufacturer, the service life of MX luminaire batteries in normal use is three to six years. The luminaire tests its battery automatically, and a duration test is carried out at least once a year. If the battery test or the duration test fails, the indicator light of the luminaire flashes red and the fire alarm control panel gives a technical warning, and the battery is then replaced.
