## Product description

This 1.2 V NiMH battery with connecting lead is a replacement battery for Emex MX series 2020 luminaires with a rated duration of 1 hour. According to the manufacturer’s technical description, the battery fits the 1-hour models of the MX series, i.e. the MX25 and MX40 exit signs and the MX Light emergency luminaires. The 3-hour models have their own 2.4 V battery pack (910008).

The battery comes with a connecting lead fitted, so replacement is quick: the battery is connected to the luminaire before the luminaire is fitted to the base. If the luminaire has an older battery without a connector, its replacement battery is 910001.

According to the manufacturer, the service life of MX luminaire batteries in normal use is three to six years. The luminaire tests its battery automatically, and a duration test is carried out at least once a year. If the battery test or the duration test fails, the indicator light of the luminaire flashes red and the fire alarm control panel gives a technical warning, and the battery is then replaced.
