## Product description

This NiMH battery pack is a replacement battery for the Emex MX IP65 luminaire (830010) and the MX Outdoor emergency luminaire (830020). The battery is a 2.4 V BK-220SCHU pack with a capacity of 2,400 mAh, and it comes with a connecting lead fitted for connection to the circuit board of the luminaire. Both luminaires are designed for a rated duration of 3 hours.

According to the manufacturer, the service life of MX luminaire batteries in normal use is three to six years. The luminaire tests its battery automatically, and a duration test is carried out at least once a year. If the battery test or the duration test fails, the indicator light of the luminaire flashes red and the fire alarm control panel gives a technical warning, and the battery is then replaced.

### Installation

Isolate the luminaire from the power supply according to the manufacturer’s instructions, disconnect the old battery from its connector and connect the new battery to the same connector. In the MX IP65 luminaire, the battery connector is on the circuit board, and the battery setting of the DIP switch must be 3 h (ON).
