# Accessibility statement

This statement applies to PAP Group Oy’s website pap.fi and its English and Swedish versions. Our aim is for the website to meet the level AA requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2). The statement was prepared on 5 October 2026 and is based on an assessment carried out by the website’s developer.

## Accessibility status of the website

In our assessment, the website partially meets the WCAG 2.2 level AA requirements. Our own content has been implemented in accordance with the requirements, but some of the files and third-party services offered on the website are not fully accessible. The shortcomings are listed below.

## How accessibility has been implemented

### Structure and content

Pages have a single main heading and a logical heading hierarchy, landmarks, text alternatives for images and descriptive link texts. The language of each page is marked, and text in another language is marked with its own language. Page content is also displayed without JavaScript.

### Keyboard and focus

All functions can be used with a keyboard. Focus is clearly visible, and neither the sticky header, the cookie notice nor any other fixed element covers the focused item. Menus and dialogs close with the Esc key.

### Colours, themes and size

The contrast of text and user interface elements has been measured in both the light and the dark theme. The website works in a 320-pixel-wide view without horizontal scrolling when text is enlarged to 200 per cent and when text spacing is increased. High contrast mode has been taken into account.

### Motion and animations

Animations last less than five seconds or can be paused. When reduced motion has been selected in the operating system, the website shows the final state of the animations. The fire test demonstration starts only when the user chooses it, and sound plays only after that.

### Forms

Form fields have visible labels, required fields are marked, and error messages explain what needs to be corrected. File fields state the permitted file formats and size limits.

## How accessibility is checked

Every release of the website is checked automatically. The checks cover internal links, heading structure, text alternatives for images, language and translation markup and the validity of the HTML, among other things.

In addition, a representative sample of pages is checked in the browser with the axe-core tool in both themes. Separate tests cover keyboard use, focus visibility, target size, text spacing, reflow, high contrast mode and motion, as well as the WCAG 2.2 criteria that the automated tool does not check.

## Known shortcomings

### Manufacturers’ PDF documents

The technical datasheets, user and installation manuals and certificates on the product pages are the equipment manufacturers’ original files. We have not checked their accessibility, and some of them are available only in English. Some certificates are protected files that cannot be combined into a compiled PDF. The key information about each product is also available as text on the product page.

### PAP’s product sheets

The PDF product sheets on the product pages are not tagged (structured) PDF files. The information on the sheet is also available on the product page.

### Third-party services

Spam protection on the forms uses the Cloudflare Turnstile service, which may ask the user to confirm that they are not a robot. Registration for partner training and newsletter subscriptions are handled in the Creamailer service, and product returns are made using a Microsoft Forms form. Directions open in Google Maps and videos on YouTube. Customer services that require logging in are separate services. We cannot influence the accessibility of these services.

### Language versions

On the English and Swedish pages, some product information and linked pages are available only in Finnish. Finnish text is marked so that screen readers read it in the correct language.

### Older articles

Images in articles published before 2026 may contain text that has not been fully written into the text alternative.

## Give feedback on accessibility

Have you noticed an accessibility shortcoming on the website, or do you need content in another format? Let us know by email at [info@pap.fi](mailto:info@pap.fi) or using the [contact form](https://pap.fi/en/yhteydenotto/). Tell us which page the problem is on and where on the page it occurs.

## Supervisory authority

In Finland, the accessibility of digital services is supervised by the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom (saavutettavuusvaatimukset.fi). In our assessment, pap.fi does not fall within the scope of the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019), because it is a product and service website aimed at business customers through which products or services are not sold to consumers. We publish this statement voluntarily, and feedback on the accessibility of pap.fi is handled at PAP Group.
